Binge Animation

Inactivity strikes again !
Not so much of personal artwork, but have been busy with some Design preparations, from past 2 weeks..

So, what did I do last weekend ?
Ok, it's kinda hard to remember... (I shud keep posting more frequently!)

Batman in a Jacket:

This illustration, of a kid waiting for his brother to repair their vehicle:

Saw this, actually, on my way to work..

Was also working on a page filled with comic-strips (completed last week), did not get time to finish coloring it.. Planning to get it done, this week.

The most fun thing that I did last week: Animating stick figures on an app called FlipaClip.

This takes a lot of time and patience, but the results are pretty awesome..
As a kid, used to do these kinda animations on the corner of  every page of a thick book and then flip the pages... Nostalgia !

Currently, watching this show called: Design for Life..
A Designer called: Phillipe Starck is on the search for the best Product Designer in UK..
Pretty cool and inspiring..

btw, Completed 2k8 & 2k9....
Planning to learn Adobe Illustrator next...

Art at Work

Did a couple of sketches at work:

Wolverine was the hero that I always used to draw as a kid.

The sketch seems to have come out good. I do not like his legs though.

This reminds me to start working on my Anatomy lessons.

The Tree took me a lot of time. I think the layout of the leaves are a bit off.

The main thing here is that a lot of shading is needed for the tree bark and branches.

Working in IT, there are moments when I've to wait for the computer to catch up. It is during this time, that I render my drawings, in installments.

This was sort of a Design + Art sketch. Part of the sketching tutorial by Ian Bates at Instructables. Definitely a must read and practice.

Used only ball-point pen for these sketches and I must say: Ball-point pen do add a mysterious spark to the sketches. These sketches resemble something that's printed on a 8th Grade Science Textbook.

Im headed off to the watch the Season 5 Finale of Game of Thrones. Hoping that the episode lives to its Hype.
